Artist Development and Master Session Production - General Information
There's a few things we'd like you to know about Renegade Music. First of all, there is no "Renegade" sound; neither do we have a prefered genre. "Roots" and "rock" are the types of music we have worked with the most but we take on projects from classical to rap. The artist and the producer, together, determine the vision for the project. After that, the song and the performance are what are important.
The three most important factors of a successful recording project are: "preproduction, preproduction, and .... preproduction". Our producer, Gerry Griffin, insists on spending a great deal of time getting the song (and the artist) prepared so that there are no surprises when it comes time to start recording and so that none of the studio time is wasted.
Secondly, we believe "if you're going to do it, do it right." There's a lot of truth in this old adage. It's also true that you get what you pay for. A doctor, engineer, plumber or carpenter invests resources preparing for their career. They pay for years of education (very expensive) and invest hours of long, hard work. You are the same - you invest time and energy and finances to achieve your goals. Your producer can mentor you and help you.
Record in our custom designed studio with a 24 track analogue board and the finest mic's, outboard gear and technology available. Using the best gear, players and background singers means the highest quality workmanship goes into your project right from the start.
