Renegade Music is a private recording facility located in Val des Monts, Quebec, on the shores of McGregor Lake in the Gatineau Hills, 30 minutes north-east of Ottawa, Canada. Housed in a renovated cottage, the studio has the industry's highest level of analogue and digital recording equipment and software/effects options. Renegade Music offers the latest technology in a creative and comfortable environment.
The Renegade Music specialty is preproduction. Our producer, Gerry Griffin, uses the depth of knowledge he has gained through the decades of experience he has as a songwriter to work through the songs with the artist and make them shine. Our methods of preproduction enable artists to make the CD they have always imagined and they will be better songwriters and performers by the time the CD is finished.
Long time performing songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and band leader, Gerry Griffin has decades of experience in the fields of recording, production and arrangement from all the possible perspectives. He has written, arranged and recorded his own material throughout his 40 year career and worked as a sideman or guest artist on countless recording projects. Renegade Music was custom-built primarily to do his own projects and soundtracks; however, he does produce projects for other artists.
